vika sjovar [Norse]

In medieval Norway, a unit of distance used by mariners, (Danish uge siøes, Dutch weeke see, all occurring with a variety of spellings, and all meaning “week of sea”.) It also often occurs as simply siovar. About 6 nautical miles.
