In Lahu-speaking Southeast Asia, ? – 20ᵗʰ century, a unit of length, the distance between the tip of the little finger and the tip of the thumb when the fingers are spread as far as possible.
“Thu” is a classifier and carries the unit’s meaning; “tê” simply means “one” or “a”, but is grammatically essential.
