The unit of capacitance in the centimeter-gram-second electrostatic system of units. One statfarad is the capacitance of a capacitor such that a charge of 1 statcoulomb increases the potential difference between its plates by 1 statvolt, approximately 1.1126 × 10⁻¹² farad. Symbol, statF.
