sháo [Chinese]

In China, a unit of capacity, traditionally = ¹⁄₁₀₀ of a shēng (升, traditional chaarcter 曻). In recent times, this unit has been called a shìsháo 市勺.

With metrication the sháo became = 10 milliliters. link to a chart showing relationships between Chinese units of liquid capacity in the shi zhi and gong systems. In particular, the gōngsháo 公勺 is 10 milliters.
