In Mexico, a premetric unit of liquid capacity, about 15 liters. Used for pulque, honey, tepache, chinguirito, charaje de piña, etc. Also spelled quelli.

Page 15. Stampa says the quelli “was 15 liters in Oaxaca but only 13.850 liters in Tehuantepec and the region of Puebla.”
