puṭṭi [Telugu]

In India, ? – 19ᵗʰ century,

Puṭṭi, Pooty, corruptly, Poottie, Poddie, Poody, Tel.( ) A measure of capacity equal to twenty Tums, and containing 14941.653 cubic inches : the same as the khandi or candy : in the northern Sarkárs the Puṭṭi is of smaller dimensions, consisting of 3635.413 cubic inches. —Jervis : but there is also one larger termed Malka Puṭṭi. It is sometimes applied to a measure of land of about eight acres.
