pié geometrico [Spanish]

A Spanish unit of length, approximately 277.777 millimeters. It is the old Roman foot, as distinct from the Castilian pie.¹ It is also defined as 0.00005 of a legua comun (20 such legua to a degree of the meridian).

The vara was defined in 1801 as 3 pie geometricos.
