Phará, Mar. ( ) A measure of capacity for grain or salt, consisting of 10 or 16 páyalis = a man or maund: in the latest returns the Phará of salt is rated at 10¼ adhalis, that of grain at 17 páyalis, and is the eighth of a khaṇḍí; rice in the husk is reckoned by the mora of 25 Pharás.
