In Gurwhal, India, ? – 19ᵗʰ century, a unit of dry capacity and a unit of land area. Some sources equate this unit with the nálí. Does it represent a Hindi intrusion?

Pátha, (?) H[indi]. A measure of seed equal to about two sers, whence it is applied to a measure of land or as much as may be sown with that quantity of seed : it is rated at about twenty yards by two, or 240 square feet.—Kamaon.

H. H. Wilson, page 407. The patha appears to have been used in Gurwhal, not Kumaon.
