According to Friss and Glamann, a customs manual of about 1647 defines the oksehoved as 6 ankre.¹ for wine, = 1½ amme = 6 ankre = 240 potter, about 232.5 liters.
Both the 1647 manual and the book of rates for 1732 say an oksehoved of beer vinegar is 1½ tonder.¹
