mu [Burmese]

For the Iranian unit, see mu. For the Chinese unit, see mu.

n. a mu, a weight of which there are two kinds, the great and the small, the great being equal to two great pais (0) or one-eighth of a kyat, and the small equal to two small pais or one-tenth of a kyat.

Robert C. Stevenson.

Elsewhere Judson says 100 kyats = 3.65 pounds av. Thus, 1/10 kyat is 0.0584 ounces, and 1/8th 0.073 ounces.
