In Durham and Northumberland counties, England, a unit of capacity = ½ Winchester bushel, about 17.62 liters. In Northumberland, the kenning was used in Newcastle market, but not in various other markets in the county.¹ In Durham county, at the Durham and Sunderland markets.²
