An ancient Hebrew unit of dry capacity = ¹⁄₁₀ ephah, about 2.2 liters (4 U.S. dry pints).
In the Bible, it occurs in Exodus 29:40, Lev. 5:11, 6:20, Numbers 28:13 and Ezekiel 45:11. Modern translations render it “tenth part,” but in the King James version it is “a tenth deal of flour.”
