NOTE. The United Nation's 1966 World Weights and Measures (page 43) lists “hang” as a unit of mass in the shi zhi system of China, = 50 grams. We suspect this is a transcriber's error ("h" for "li") for the metrified “liang”, specifically the shìliǎng, 市 兩.
