In China, 1959 – present, two units:

A unit of mass in the gong zhì simplified metric system, = 100 kilograms (UN, 1966). The ideogram gong may be translated “general,” “public” or “international,” so this is an international dan, that is, metric. The old dan = 10 dou.

2

A unit of capacity = 100 liters.
