etzbah [Hebrew, אצבﬠ ]

An ancient Hebrew unit of length, in concept a fingerbreadth, probably about 1.9 cm, 3/4 inch. chart symbol Also romanized as ’eṣba‘

In the Bible in English, it has been translated by “finger.”


And concerning the pillars, the height of one pillar was eighteen cubits; and a fillet of twelve cubits did compass it; and the thickness thereof was four fingers: it was hollow.
