[Real Secreteria di Stato.]
Codice Metrico-Siculo. Diviso in due Parti.
Catania: Dalla Stamperia dell Universita degli Studj, 1812.

Doursther (1840) records most of these only as units of capacity. From the values he gives for the canne in Messina and Palermo, the canne quadrati would be 4.466 square meters and 3.772 sq. m, respectively. That would make the salma of Messina about 18,293 square meters and of Palermo, about 15,450 sq. m.

For some local values of the tumolo, see tomolo.
