In South Africa and South West Africa, ? – 20ᵗʰ century, a unit of length, = 1.033 inches = ¹⁄₁₂ Cape foot, approximately 2.624 centimeters.
By the 20ᵗʰ century the only remaining legal use for Cape measures was in surveying, and surveyors divided the Cape foot decimally. It is hard to see why this unit was reported to the United Nations as being of current use.
