In Germany, ? – 19ᵗʰ century, a unit of dry capacity. In Frankfurt am Main, a Kohlenbütte (Bütte of coal) was approximately 121.2 liters; a Kalkbütte (tte of lime) approximately 141.95 liters. A slightly larger Bütte was used in other cities.
