abasám` [Twi]

In Akan-speaking West Africa, a unit of length equal to the distance between the tips of outstretched arms. It belongs to the fathom family of units.

An abasám`fã (should be an additional acute accent over the tilde) is a unit of length of about three feet, half an abasám`.
