Organization Internationale de Metrologie Legale (OIML)

The International Organization of Legal Metrology is an intergovernmental agency established by treaty in 1955.Its members are national governments. OIML, for example, defines standards for weights used in balances, and certifies a wide variety of measuring instruments. See their website at www.oiml.org
