Standard bed pillow sizes in the United States are:
- Standard
- 20″ by 26″ (to 21 by 31?)
- Queen
- 20″ by 30″ to 22″ by 34″
- King
- 20″ by 36″
- “European”
- In the United States, a name sometimes given to pillows 26″ square.
- Bolsters
- The length of the pillow is equal to the width of the bed, with a diameter of about 9″. Wedge-shaped bolsters are about 12″ high.
- Body pillows
- Favored by some pregnant women, are 20″ by 60″ or 72″.
A wide variety of other pillows are made: neck rolls, bedrests, anti-snore pillows, and so on, but
their sizes are not standardized.
Pillowcases
- Standard
- 20″ by 30″ to 22″ by 30″
- Queen
- 22″ by 34″
- King
- 20″ by 40″ to 22″ by 40″
Throw Pillows
The typical square throw pillow is about 14″ by 14″. A floor pillow is larger, perhaps 24″ by 24″.
