In the Netherlands, ? – 20th century, the Amsterdam voet, a unit of length, 28.31 centimeters (about 11.147 inches). Prior to metrification in 1817, the voet was divided into 11 duime; the duim after 1817 = 1 centimeter exactly.
The Amsterdam voet also occurs in South Africa.
