In the Greek islands of Corfu and Paxos, a unit of mass used for salt.
According to Kisch (1965, p. 251), about 995.1 grams, but according to Doursther = 70 peso grosso, about 33.4 kilograms.
Probably derived from the Italian mezzetta.
