(Plural, cyfelinau. In an obsolete orthography, cyvelin, plural cyvelinau.)
In Wales, a unit of length = 1½ feet.1 It belongs to the cubit family of units.
Owen’s Dictionary says it is also the name of a “welsh ell” of 2½ yards.2
