In Florence and Naples, 15th – 19th centuries, a large unit of liquid capacity used for wine, = 10 barili. In the 19th century, Doursther reports it in use in Florence at about 455.76 liters, and that it = 10 barile = 200 fiaschi = 400 boccali, about @ liters.
Vino vi si vende a cogno che dieci barili fanno un cogno.
They sell wine by the cogno, such that 10 barili make a cogno.
