Antonio Luiz contributed values for the unit of land area in Brazil.

Al Cabral provided the following information:
“The fact is that my in-laws are having land expropriated by the government, to give way for a major highway. The compensation factor is based on $/[square meter].  My in-laws could not convert 5 alquieres to [square meters], hence my inquiry. I contacted a Portuguese realty estate agency who provided me with the answer - which was, an alquiere is equivalent to 1,420 [square meters], in the county where the farm is located.”
