The runway is 1.22 meters wide. A takeoff board like those used in the broad jump is located 45 meters from the start of the runaway. The board is 10 centimeters thick, 20 centimeters wide and 1.22 meters laterally. It is followed by a strip of an indicator such as Plasticene modeling clay, 1.22 meters laterally and 10 centimeters wide. Another 42 meters of runway follows, followed by a landing area 8 meters long by 2.75 meters wide.
