Most are square, 36″ by 36″ or 40″ by 40″. Rectangular models are 24″ by 36″ or a bit larger.
If the play yard has slats, the openings between slats should be no wider than 2⅜ inches. If it is covered in mesh, the mesh openings should be no larger than ¼ inch.
